ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH OF ST. MARY, BREWOOD, STAFFORDSHIRE
The Roman Catholic Church of St Mary, Brewood, was built in 1843-44 and designed by A.W.N. Pugin, the famous Gothic revival architect who is best known as the designer of the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben. This grade II listed Roman Catholic church is constructed of local sandstone under slate roofs, and was designed in a 13th century style. It forms part of a complex of Pugin-designed buildings including the Presbytery, Hall and School.
Oliver Architecture have carried out a number of projects at the church, starting with a Quinquennial Inspection and then a programme of masonry repairs to the Church and repairs to the adjacent School house. We have prepared designs for reordering the interior with new painted decoration in the Chancel.
