ST. MARY AND ST. EGWIN, EVESHAM, WORCESTERSHIRE
The Roman Catholic church of St Mary & St. Egwin is located north of the centre of Evesham town centre and is grade II listed. The Church was constructed to the designs of the architects, Pugin & Pugin on behalf of Monsignor Patten who is depicted in a fine stained-glass window in the South Chapel. The firm of Pugin & Pugin was founded by two sons of the celebrated architect A.W.N. Pugin, Cuthbert Welby Pugin (who was principally involved in furnishings) and Peter Paul Pugin (d.1904), later succeeded by Sebastian Pugin Powell (1866-1949, presumably the actual architect of the church at Evesham) and Charles Henry Cuthbert Purcell (1874-1958).
