ST. KYNEBURGHA, CASTOR, CAMBRIDGESHIRE
Castor is the centre of a well-known Roman settlement. The present church is Norman, with much reused Saxon and Roman material. The Chancel was dedicated on 17th April 1124. The church contains interesting and important fittings such as carvings, a splendid south door and wall paintings.
Stephen Oliver is the church architect for St. Kyneburgha and carried out a Quinquennial Inspection report in 2018. We have carried out further projects for the church including door alterations, repairs to churchyard tombs and repair of a damaged wall.
