ASTON HALL, BIRMINGHAM
Aston Hall was built in 1618-35 for Sir Thomas Holte. It is a major early Jacobean house on a grand scale, of brick with stone dressings and tiled roofs. The Hall is a grade I listed building, as are the Lodges and the Stables.
Oliver Architecture carried out a fabric condition report for the building including the Hall, the North and South Lodges and the Stables. We are also undertaking repairs to the South Lodge roofs and repairs to the main house. Stephen Oliver was the project architect for the major Heritage Lottery Fund scheme to restore the Hall and Stables in 2007 - 9.
