ST. LAURENCE, ALVECHURCH, WORCESTERSHIRE
The medieval parish church of St. Laurence was almost completely rebuilt to the designs of William Butterfield, designed 1857-8, built 1860-61, on the same footprint with the addition of a south aisle. The tower is 15th century, remodelled with a new parapet in 1676 by Samuel and Thomas Richards and restored by Butterfield in 1890-91.
A major Heritage Lottery Fund grant-aided project has been completed to repair the stained glass windows, as well as the North Aisle valley gutter, improving access for future maintenance.
