COUGHTON COURT, WARWICKSHIRE
Coughton Court is a grade I listed building dating from the 15th Century. The estate has been owned by the Throckmorton family since 1409 and although the National Trust has owned the house since 1946, the family still live here. As with other Tudor houses, it was built around a courtyard with a gatehouse for coaches to pass through.
Oliver Architecture was appointed to carry out a quinquennial inspection of Coughton Court in 2015. We have since worked on the reroofing of the Gatehouse Tower and the South Wing, repairs to the masonry and joinery and the re-rendering of the north elevation.
